Caller: Amazon scammers

I recently received, here in Australia, a call claiming to be from Amazon, from whom I’ve never purchased and informing me that there was a purchase charge on my account. I was asked if I had placed that order and I thought I might waste some of their time, however it was a crap line and I told the female caller that I had trouble hearing clearly as my voice kept echoing loudly back. She said she’d all back but never did, so I feel quite deprived! I’m assuming it was a refund scam call..
